Tripura Education Minister stress the need for quality education

Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said imparting quality education to the students is the priority of the new government and sought full co-operation of the teachers community to achieve this goal.
‘Teachers have a place of honour in the society and only they can build an able generation who will take the nation forward’, he said and committed that the new government will ensure that the due honour of the teachers are maintained.
Addressing a convention organized by Tripura TET Teachers Welfare Association  today he urged the teachers to ensure that the students are not deprived of quality education which was ignored during the previous regime.
The teachers were aggrieved that despite proved their ability by qualifying in the tough Teachers’ Eligibility Test they were appointed in fixed pay by the previous government which, they feel, is not only a case of deprivation, it is also derogatory to their dignity in the society.
The minister assured the teachers that the new government will review the matter and take step so that their deprivation is removed and their honor in the society is restored.
