CM at Tripura Sundari temple trust


Out of the total estimated budget around Rs. 50 crores, Rs. 34 crores were already sanctioned by the Central Govt, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb told media after a meeting at Udaipur regarding Matabari development.Addressing the media after the meeting held at Udaipur regarding Matabari development, the Chief Minister said, govt is now focusing basically on the electricity, CCTV cameras and safety, drinking water facilities and tourists comforts.Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb yesterday chaired the first Meeting of the Shree Shree Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Trust at Matabari RD Block Conference Hall in Udaipur.
Chief Minister, during the meeting directed that a comprehensive documentation exercise of all the assets of the Temple Trust must be holistically undertaken. He asserted that due legal processes and requirements must be fully complied while the temple is being transferred to the Temple Trust Authorities.
Chief Minister stated that while undertaking developmental works in the temple premises, topmost priority must be accorded to ensuring Swachhta (cleanliness and sanitation) in the complex.Deb also directed the officials to ensure that the best practices from various temples and pilgrimage centres from across the country must be emulated and a comprehensive master plan be prepared in order to develop the Matabari Temple complex.Deb stated that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has championed the cause of pilgrimage tourism in the country through its Prasad and Swadesh Darshan schemes. He asked the authorities to ensure that the development of the temple must be done effectively using these programs and schemes of the Central Government.Deb further stated that the temple development must be undertaken with a vision of developing Mata Tripura Sundari Temple as a world class pilgrimage center in North East India.
